KublaCon Diplomacy 2010 Results
This in from Andy Hull:
KublaCon Diplomacy 2010 wrapped up yesterday and featured two tutorial boards and four scored tournament boards over the three competitive rounds this weekend. Turnout was light but there was also a number of first-timers who picked up the game rapidly and delivered a good standard of beginner performances. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to play or say "Hi!", including special guest appearances from Adam Silverman and Siobhan Granvold.
This was my first year running the full tournament and there was a little learning curve. Thanks for your patience with the rough edges. I liked that the C-Diplo system is beginner friendly in that it does not overly encourage eliminations and be can be easily explained to a new player. Given that KublaCon is often a good venue to introduce new players to the game I think it worked well. I might explore other center count based scoring systems for next year.
So here's the part you're all waiting for.... the results!
