British Zine in Search of New Blood
"The Bleeder", which is the second oldest Diplomacy zine in the UK (after "Albion") is in search of new blood. Besides Diplomacy, the zine is also noted for Railway Rivals and for the unique game Brawl, which they describe as follows:
"It's set in a cowboy saloon, each player is a cowboy and has to submit 6 actions during a move: for instance: 1. pick up bottle, 2. rest, 3 plung bottle into So and so's face, 4. rest, 5. run away to square XXX, 6 rest. Other players submit other similarly nasty moves involving two guns and three knives and the Sheriff (GM) then calculates both macho points and endurance points for each player - the last player standing wins. It's truly a vicious game andisd a fine way to get to settle all of those little scores and grudges from those diplomacy games where so and so stabbed you just after promising to be your ally. If you decide to take part in just one game, then make it brawl."
