The Boston Massacre Tournament Results

This in from Melissa Call:

I had a lot of fun running Massacre this year. It was a fairly laid back tournament as a number of the usual travellers have rightly put their priorities in attending WDC/DipCon in Ohio next weeknd but this also created an excellent environment for the number of newer players to test their luck at tournament Diplomacy. That said the competition was still strong. Andrew Goff, one of the top Australian players was in attendance as a warm up for WDC, and Carl Ellis came tantalizingly close to winning his first tournament. In fact on Saturday evening ...<< MORE >>

Utrecht Diplomacy Tournament

This in from Frank Oosterom:

Hi folks,

Next month it's time for another Dutch caper: The one and only Utrecht Diplomacy Tournament organized by one of the tallest men in Europe... The schedule of the three days are approximately as attached.

Already 8 international players have registered for this traditional Dutch treat and we will have around 10 local players drummed up for a nice Dip-party. After or between the rounds there is plenty of time to go out for a drink, bite, clubbing or other enjoyments, so be sure to join in on the fun!

Since then, we have grown to over 50 members, and usually 7-15 of us get together once a month or so for Diplomacy and other gaming activities.  Tempest in a Teapot is the flagship annual event of the Potomac Tea & Knife Society, attracting players from all over ...<< MORE >>

World DipCon Web Site

This in from Edi Birsan:

We have a web site, thank you Conrad Woodring and The Pouch
http://wdc2009.diplom.org/

It is updated with the latest information.
The player list grows, though unfortunately Allan Calhamer can not
make it.

For people who have asked about airport to hotel runs, there is a
great number of direct shuttles from the airport to the local hotels
such that it recommended that players use those instead of cabs.

Hotels are filling up, with many of the hobby people including
myself, staying at the Crowne attached to the convention center.

Boston Massacre Details

This in from Melissa Call:

The Boston Massacre is just around the corner now.

I've had a number of out of town players contact me with their plans and I thought it really is time for me to step up my recruiting the local players. I'll be trying to contact everyone individually which takes a fair amount of time. So if you are considering coming, or even know you're not coming dropping me a line to tell me would be a great help. That way I ...<< MORE >>
